#ICYMI CUSD Students Participate in Oratorical Contest and Art Competition
On Wednesday, students district-wide participated in the Annual Frederick Douglass Oratorical Contest and Andrew Turner Art Competition.
Public speaking is never an easy feat, but our young scholars showed tremendous confidence while reciting excerpts from various Frederick Douglass speeches.
We are so proud of all of the participants who recited a speech or showcased their talent in the Art competition.
Congratulations to all of the winners and a special thank you to our judges.
We’d also like to thank our Mistress of Ceremony, Ms. Jean Arnold for facilitating the event and working tirelessly on behalf of our students. The district is better because of education advocates like her.
