2022 Summer Concert Series Begins on June 28, 2022 at 7:00 PM!
The Marcus Hook Summer Concert Series will celebrate its thirty-sixth year when the 7-concert series begins on Tuesday evening June 28, 2022. Each year music lovers come out to sit back and relax, and enjoy the music that takes place along the banks of the scenic Delaware River at Marcus Hook’s beautiful Market Square Memorial Park. Concerts follow on consecutive Tuesday evenings at the park located at Market Street and Delaware Avenue. All programs begin at 7:00 PM.
The lineup of talent includes all types of music. This year’s schedule starts on Tuesday, June 28th with the Quaker City String Band. Quaker City String Band has entertained the people of Cuba, Mexico, England, France, Italy, and is known for being a top prize winner in the annual Philadelphia New Year’s Day Parade
Back by popular demand on July 5th is Wallstreet - Tribute to Motown. Wallstreet delights their audiences with Motown style music which first began in Detroit, Michigan and who is known for their sharp wardrobes and crisp dance routines.
Anthony Caserta, originally from Trainer, PA, comes straight from Nashville, TN and will give the most authentic and renowned tribute to Johnny Cash with Boy in Black on July 12th. Boy in Black is a fan favorite, year in and year out!
On July 19this a crowd favorite; the Fabulous Greaseband, which is a seven member “Best of 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Band”. Their highly entertaining and energetic delivery of the greatest dance songs ever written has kept the group on top for the last 48 years!
Double Shot is next up on July 26th. Double Shot is a class rock n roll band playing great tunes from the 60’s, 70’s and beyond.
On August 2nd, Big Band from the Valley will be stopping by for a concert. Big Band from the Valley originated close to fifty years ago in Rose Valley, Delaware County. The variety of music runs from the 40's to today's hits. The band is comprised of the full complement of three trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, piano, bass, and drums. Also on hand for the August 2nd concert will be the Marcus Hook Police Department for National Night Out, which is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Closing the series on August 9th is the Joseph A. Ferko String Band. The Joseph A. Ferko String Band is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2022, and has played at both the Marcus Hook Summer Concert Series as well as our annual Memorial Day Parade!
Marcus Hook Borough Council presents this year’s Series with support from the following sponsors: Energy Transfer, Monroe Energy, Duke Realty LP, PECO, Alan McIlvain Company, and the Jacono family.
Food and light refreshments are available for purchase at the park during the Summer Concert Series. No alcohol or pets are permitted.
