Academy-Notre Dame De Namur issued the following announcement on Apr. 22.

The Notre Dame World Languages Department is once again the recipient of a PSMLA Exemplary Program (PEP) "Golden Globe Award" for 2022-2023. The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur is the only school in Pennsylvania to be recognized with the "Golden Globe Award" nine consecutive times.

The "Golden Globe Award" is the highest designation of the PEP award, which honors exemplary high school world language programs on the basis of 11 evidence-based performance indicators.

Dr. Amanda Klause, World Languages Department Chair, said she is so proud of the collaborative effort from her department colleagues in working towards this achievement.

"It was wonderful to see teachers of all the languages designing proficiency-based assessments together and engaging with one another in professional development. The Golden Globe Award is a testament to their dedication to their students and to the excellence of their instruction," Klause said.
