The organization said the experience will be organized by EPL Sports Tours and aims to provide young athletes with opportunities for elite competition, professional training environments, cultural excursions, and international travel.
The announcement matters because it offers Philadelphia Union Youth players a chance to experience soccer culture in one of the world’s premier football destinations. The trip is expected to include high-level training sessions, international competition, visits to professional stadiums, and cultural activities.
“We are excited to announce that EPL Sports Tours is currently planning a Philadelphia Union Youth trip to Lisbon, Portugal, for Spring 2027,” the statement said. “EPL Sports has been delivering world-class international sports travel experiences since 2007, creating memorable opportunities for young athletes through elite competition, professional training environments, cultural excursions, and international travel experiences.” The organization also said that previous tours have taken players and families abroad to destinations including the United Kingdom and Spain.
