Philadelphia Union announced on Apr. 20 that a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes, created for ambassador Frankie Westfield, is now available for auction to benefit Leveling the Playing Field and its youth sports initiatives.
The auction aims to raise funds that will help expand access and equity in youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities. The custom shoe was designed by Meghan Burns from With an H Designs using materials sourced from Subaru: Gear for Good initiative and other donations collected by Leveling the Playing Field. These materials, which could not be redistributed as equipment, have been transformed into a unique artistic piece.
The shoes were worn by Westfield ahead of Philadelphia Union’s Greener Goals theme night on April 18. Fans are invited to participate in the auction until Monday, April 27 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
