Philadelphia Union announced on May 15 that it will release the Unity Tee, designed by its in-house creative team, exclusively at the Union Shop starting Saturday.

The club said the new shirt was created to celebrate the diversity within its team and fanbase. According to Philadelphia Union, “Every square tells a different story, inspired by the backgrounds, passions, traditions, and identities of the players who make up our club.” The organization added that each detail was carefully crafted to reflect personal stories and connections. “Because unity isn’t about everyone being the same, it’s about bringing different stories together to create something bigger than ourselves,” Philadelphia Union said.

The tee is being launched ahead of what Philadelphia Union described as their final match before global attention shifts to soccer this summer. The statement reads: “As we head into our final match before the world turns its attention to the global game this summer, this tee is a reminder that soccer has always belonged to everyone. One city. Many hands.”

Philadelphia Union features a roster of professional players on its main team and achieved recognition with the Supporters’ Shield in 2020 for best regular-season performance in Major League Soccer, according to the official website. The club operates from Subaru Park in Chester and offers competitive matches as part of Major League Soccer while fostering community involvement through youth programs and fan engagement initiatives.

Philadelphia Union functions as a professional soccer team representing its city at an elite level within Major League Soccer while also providing entertainment for supporters through matches and events held at their dedicated facilities according to the official website.
